I am a gastroenterologist in Baton Rouge, LA. I graduated along with Dr. Sai Lakshmi, from Gandhi Medical College in India, then trained at University of Alabama at Birmingham in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology and completed by Master of Science in Public Health with honors. I am a member of the Delta Omega Society, Upsilon chapter (honorary society for graduates of public health). I am a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the Mary Bird Perkins Colorectal Multidisciplinary Team.

I am involved with community awareness projects such as Get Your Rear in Gear Colon cancer awareness 5K run as Co-Chair since it started in Baton Rouge in 2011. I am interested in bringing a holistic approach to healing through yoga, meditation, stress relief and organize workshops/classes to give resources like of yoga, Art of Living and Shiv Yog Healing Meditation to my patients and to the community.

Being a classmate of Dr. Sai Lakshmi, the founder of Ekam Foundation, I am involved in spreading word about Ekam’s principle of No Child Should be Denied Healthcare for financial reasons. Having known Sai Lakshmi as a close friend and seeing her altruistic work being done for children, I have decided to dedicate my time and efforts to help as many children as possible.
