Our adopted district: Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, India. Since 2019 Ekam Detroit has raised over $7500, $2500 per year, for SWBI initiatives and Covid relief in India, to support activities in our adopted district, Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu, India. The money raised was used to fund the Kitchen Garden, MCH Awareness programs, and provided livelihood beneficiaries to people in the Dharmapuri district. Maternal Child Health(MCH) Awareness photos Awareness programs were conducted to Antenatal, Postnatal mothers, ICDS center workers, Self Help Group members, volunteers, school students, and the community. The topics covered during these programs were Maternal Health and Child Care, MNCH-Government Schemes, Importance of Dietary Diversity during ANC & PNC Periods, and MNCH Safety measures during COVID 19 pandemic.
