In order to cultivate resourceful students, it is imperative that we have good schools equipped with essential amenities, including water and sanitation facilities.

The availability of water and proper sanitation facilities in schools directly impacts the enrollment and retention of children, especially girls. It is the right of every child to attend schools that provide access to safe water, child-friendly sanitation facilities, and hygiene education. Unfortunately, in underdeveloped countries, the majority of schools lag far behind in providing these necessities.

Valaparla ZP High School, located in Martur Mandal of Prakasam District, AP. This school has a rich history and is one of the oldest high schools in the area. Currently, there are 844 students enrolled in this school.

It has come to our attention that a significant number of children studying at this high school come from low-income families,amplifying the impact of inadequate facilities on their daily lives. Specifically, we have only 4 girls' urinals available for 445 girls. According to UNICEF norms, there should be one toilet plus three urinals for every 40 students. Consequently, our girl students are experiencing discomfort and inconvenience during restroom breaks, having to endure long queues and facing various challenges.
