Need/ Challenge – Zoom into STEM – Science kit donations and lab assistance for Elementary and Middle School kids

Approach / Solution– Ekam Atlanta project has been selected as a finalist to receive a grant of 750 dollars from KPMG, in collaboration with Points of Light.

Impact/ Outcome– The project helped a lot of kids who couldn’t otherwise access the science kits easily. Kids learned the science concepts such as magnetism, weather changes and electricity while having fun and interactive sessions with other kids, virtually as well as in person. We had interactive sessions at a Special needs respite care center and at a nonprofit after school help center. We donated many science kits and are going to continue to help with interactive zoom sessions in future.
