In 2019, the EKAM NJ chapter organized the EKAM 5K Run in Central New Jersey. It was a widely appreciated effort, which had volunteers all over the state helping to create an idea. The run raised $20,000 and gained several supporters across America. The funds were directly used to promote physical and mental well being, preventative health, maternal health, and awareness of illiteracy and poverty in India as part of the Sustainable Well-being Initiative – https://ekamusa.org/swbi/.
This year, EKAM NJ is planning for the 2nd EKAM 5K Run in June, and the organization is looking for sponsors for the run. The funds for the run will be utilized against limited healthcare resources, lack of adequate staff, medications, and functioning equipment limit the number of people that can be treated in a timely and effective manner. We are planning for greater success this year, and we can only do it with your help.
